The SOA has been working with our law enforcement partners in the Police Conference of New York (PCNY), as well as with other labor unions in the Public Employee Conference (PEC), to lobby for legislative changes to the NYS Pension System tiers 5 and 6. We need your support with our Call to Action to let the Legislators in New York State know how we feel about it.

National Police Week 2023

National Police Week is a collaborative effort of many organizations dedicated to honoring America’s law enforcement community.

Call For Help Answered

Last week, 5th Precinct Trustee Kevin Maiale teamed up with Legislator Dominick Thorne, Legislator Jim Mazzarella, Senator Mario R. Mattera, and a representative from the Deputy Sherrifs PBA to help Pastor Jim of Lighthouse Mission in Bellport following a request for donations of bottled water during the heat wave.

Police Week 2022

This week marks National Police Week. Throughout the country, many memorials are being held to honor those law enforcement heroes who lost their lives due to their performance in the line of duty. We held a memorial this past week at Suffolk County Police HQ and there was a statewide memorial in Albany yesterday.
